Debi attended Grant MacEwan before starting with North Edmonton Family Day Home Agency in 1983. She is familiar with all aspects of family child care having been a Educator, Consultant,Parent of a child in care and Director since 1998. She is a strong advocate for children and families and has served on many committees including Chair of the Alberta Family Child Care Association, Grant MacEwan Advisory Committee, and most recently Board Member for the Alberta Resource Centre for Quality Enhancement.

Melissa is a graduate of the Grant MacEwan, Early Child Development program and a Level III. After graduation she went on to work in Day Care for over two years. During that time she gained a lot of wonderful hands on experience. She has been with North Edmonton Family Day Home Agency since 2000 on a part time basis and joined the agency fulltime in 2008.

Jessica Alberda has been working at NEFDHA since 2012, as an Office Administrator and focuses on providing supports to the educators. She has a background in Fitness and Nutrition graduating From NAIT and SAIT. Jessica was a Personal Trainer for 12 years and ran her own business for 6 years. She applies this experience to her work at the office in planning the Activity Calendars, Prop Boxes and changing of the Parent & educator Resource Centre. Jessica has a young son and loves incorporating what she learns at work into his routine.

Ala taught elementary school in Poland. Since coming to Canada she has worked in childcare for 16 years and taught art and Polish language at a Polish Saturday School. Ala joined our agency in 2010. She loves the natural curiosity of children and that they are always ready to explore their world with joy and enthusiasm. She enjoys sharing her ideas with educators and supporting their personal growth.

Mitzi joined NEFDHA in the fall of 2012. She has worked in the family day homes for the past 28 years years; 21 years as a family day home educator and then as a consultant. Mitzi is working towards an early learning and child care certificate with GPRC. She enjoys interacting with the children during her visits and supporting educators with a variety of resources for program planning.

Lisa has worked in the child care field for over 25 years. She was a family day home educator with NEFDHA for almost 8 years before joining the agency as a day home consultant in 2013. Lisa is a graduate of the Grant MacEwan Early Childhood Development program. Lisa enjoys interacting with educators and the children in their homes.

Janine started out as a day home educator. As her children grew older she chose to work at the schools as an Educational Assistant. For over 8 years she worked with students with special needs, specializing in autism as well as behavioral disorders. Janine has re-joined the agency this time as a day home consultant. She enjoys participating in activities with the children during her home visits in addition to supporting the day home educators.
